The leading fast-food chain’s CEO has some major plans in store for a shakeup that is all set to affect retail outlets around the globe. This includes a change in the menu as well as massive layoffs of employees working for the company.
McDonald’s fans are going to witness huge menu changes, thanks to the firm’s CEO. He feels there is no need for the top restaurant in the world of fast food to have so much variety of the same meat.
Most chicken sandwiches were called out for having nearly 75 different kinds which according to him was just unacceptable. And now, there are major shakeups involved.
Today, the company is all set to shut down all of its offices across the US as they plan for the future and make some much-needed changes which the higher-up management felt was a long time coming.
The changes to the menus would be seen around the globe, the spokesperson for the company explained. Moreover, the CEO was mentioned speaking about how it was high time that the company underwent a change as this was the only way to grow.
Layoffs were planned as the CEO felt that a lot of employees were not focused or pulling the weight of their jobs and because of that behavior, they were all struggling with the company to achieve success.
“There is a lack of awareness and motivation to do your best. And during a time of economic crisis, we cannot afford that”- he continued.
As a part of the restructuring plan for the leading fast food chain, we’re seeing the company go the extra mile by simplifying menus.
Whether or not that would bring about fruitful results, only time can tell. For now, we’ll just watch patiently as fans get some of their favorite products slashed.
