JUST IN: New York City’s Mayor Tests POSITIVE For COVID-19 After Attending ‘Super Spreader’ Dinner In DC


The mayor of New York City has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.

According to local media reports, Mayor Eric Adams is said to have attended one major dinner event in Washington DC and that is being traced as a ‘super spreader’ that led to his condition.

Other reports have gone as far as mentioning how the incident has resulted in more than 60 people testing positive for the illness and those are some alarming reports.

The mayor is said to have woken up with a ‘raspy voice’ yesterday, and that’s when it was suggested by his medical team of experts that he undergo a PCR test to confirm the presence of the illness.

That test came back with positive results, although his initial rapid antigen test was deemed negative at first. However, the mayor exercised extra precautions and took another test to be extra sure.

The news was confirmed by the mayor’s spokesperson who says the mayor will not be taking part in any public events for the rest of the week. And that included a scheduled interview with MSNBC which was to be held on Sunday at Coney Island.

Throughout his recovery period, the mayor will be on anti-viral therapy and will continue work as per schedule through remote means in isolation.

Reports have spoken about how New York City has seen a rapid increase in COVID-19 cases in the recent month. And now experts believe that is averaging about 1,800 new cases in just one day.

This is definitely alarming as the figures are almost triple what they were in the early days of March. and that is also said to be the time when the city was seen relaxing so many of its masking as well as vaccination regulations.

The super-spreader event that the mayor attended is said to have been the cause of so many high-profile positive cases where nearly 600 guests were in attendance.
