President Trump shared on Wednesday that Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker should be jailed for failing to defend US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Officers.

Trump’s remark came after Texas National Guard troops arrived in Illinois on Tuesday to protect federal personnel and property amid anti-immigration protests.
“I will not back down. Trump is calling for the arrest of elected representatives checking his power. What else is left on the path to full-blown authoritarianism?’ Pritzker mentioned in a reaction to Trump on Wednesday. He further shared that it’s about time that Americans spoke up and stood up for their rights.
‘This is not the first time that Trump has tried to have a Black man unjustly arrested. I am not going anywhere’- Johnson mentioned in a post shared through X.
He also mentioned, through an appearance on CNN, that this president is unstable, unhinged, double-minded, and frankly a threat to democracy.
Meanwhile, the White House press secretary mentioned that JB Pritzker and Brandon Johnson both have blood on their hands.
