Naming a baby can be a daunting affair and that’s especially true when you’re having twins.
One woman is going viral on the online platform Reddit when she revealed how her sister plans on giving her twin babies matching names.
The woman explained how excited her sister was for her twins’ arrival and she was just as happy for her too. But when she found out that her sister was all set to name her babies with matching names, it was a decision that she did not take too well.
She felt that it was something that she just failed to think through and she would end up regretting it later as well. Hence, she advised her against it.
What was even more daunting is how she wished to name the babies after two prestigious schools and that blew her mind for obvious reasons.
“She does not understand that her kids are going to hate her for it. They’ll resent this decision when they grow up. It’s as simple as that”- she added. And that’s when she asked others to comment on the matter and speak about what they felt about it.
When people asked what the names would be, she had no trouble in claiming that it was Stanford and Yale. And as expected, people were mesmerized by what in the world is going on. These were the names of two leading universities and it’s not even funny how publicized these names were.
But others on the platform felt that the sister was overthinking a tad bit too much. While they did agree that the names were awfully common, that does not give anyone the right to interfere.
After all, she is the mother and naming is her and her husband’s decision. What do you think?
