Tsunami Warning Issued After Massive 7.4 Magnitude Earthquake Leaves At Least Two People DEAD & Dozens Injured


At least two people were killed after a massive earthquake rocked the southern island of the Philippines today.

According to reports from local media outlets, the fatalities come as thousands of people were told to evacuate after authorities warned of a destructive tsunami in the aftermath of this quake.

Both residents who died were from Mati City in Davao Oriental province, as per officials. A video of this quake from the Philippine city of Davo showed office workers holding on to desks, with the creaking noises of structures.

Another video showed toppled cabinets and evacuated workers gathering outside. A disaster official in Manay near the epicenter of this incident mentioned how the quake lasted for 30 to 40 seconds. They shared how the initial damage included some homes, the facade of a church, cracked roads, and unpassable bridges.
