A gunman was seen opening fire at a small high school party, which left one person dead and 11 more injured in North Carolina.
Authorities were called to the residence near Hickory, which is located nearly 60 miles outside of Charlotte, at about 12:45 pm on Sunday.
Reports spoke about how several people were shot. One of the twelve victims was killed while another was said to be in a critical condition.
The others remain in the hospital, as confirmed by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office.
So far, no arrests have been made on this front, and the cops are yet to release more data on the potential suspects.
It’s not clear right now what sparked this fatal shooting and how many shots were fired at the time. However, a teenager who happened to be at the party described a chaotic scene after bullets started to fly. ‘As soon as I heard the shots, everyone started to run for cover and safety’- an anonymous witness shared.
