Harrowing video footage showed the exact moment that a massive ship rammed into the Brooklyn Bridge during the evening hours of Saturday.

This incident led to tourists screaming and fleeing the path.

The bridge itself was said to be okay at first glance, however, the same could not be said about the giant vessel. The masts, which were said to be 147 feet in the air, ended up collapsing and falling back towards the deck. This left several crew members seriously injured.

Two people were dead and two were in a critical condition, as per New York City Mayor Eric Adams. As a whole, there were 19 total injuries.

The ship was said to be carrying 277 people on board when it crashed just before the clock struck 9 pm EDT. Currently, a search and rescue operation is being carried out.

The incident is dubbed a mass casualty event by the Mexican Navy at this moment in time, as they are the sole owners of the mega ship.
