Donald Trump has suggested giving Americans a $2000 check in the form of a tariff dividend that’s funded by revenue from his import tariffs.
Now, many Americans are growing impatient as they want the current administration to roll out an exact date as to when that would be available to them. But growing certainties about who would be eligible and who would not are causing concerns amongst the masses. We’re already well aware of how those belonging to low or middle income classes would be eligible, but those in the high category have been omitted.
As per the latest breakdown shared by the government, individuals earning under $75k a year are eligible, but if their income is above the threshold, they won’t be getting much.
On the other hand, if you’re a married couple, the combined income cutoff is nearly $150k a year to be eligible. There is yet to be any formal written plan from the Trump administration, but many are running out of patience. The latest warning comes as many incorrectly assume that everyone would be getting a share of the payment, but that might not be the case.
As far as the exact is concerned, no news on that yet. It’s still said to be somewhere in the middle of next year.
