A man has been arrested for marrying a nine-year-old girl at a $150,000 Disneyland wedding as people watched in horror.

The news has left many people dumbfounded and furious over how the park allowed such a criminal act to take place at one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations.

The bizarre and very disturbing scenes saw the man get arrested at Disneyland in Paris. The French amusement park staff were left stunned and horrified on Saturday, which is when the incident occurred. They only realized later what had gone down between the adult man and the young girl.

Part of the amusement park in Paris was privately hired for the fake ceremony ahead of it being open to the public, and reportedly unfolded in front of the iconic Sleeping Beauty castle alongside an estimated 100 guests.

Sources shared how dozens of extras were also hired to take part in what the assistant prosecutor described as a staged wedding. The suspect has been identified as a British national, but there have been conflicting reports regarding his age.

The park shared recently how the cops quickly got involved after being alerted about the matter and intervened when it was realized what was taking place.

They have also shared that they are fully cooperating with the matter right now to get more details on this investigation.

Some reports spoke about how the young girl had heels tied to her feet to make her appear older than her age.

Days after the suspect’s arrest, the man was charged with several offenses that included fraud, breach of trust, money laundering, and identity theft as shared by the prosecutor’s office.
