NFL superstar Travis Kelce was seen receiving a major fine by the NFL over an obscene gesture.
The Kansas City Chiefs star has been sanctioned for the very shocking and unsportsmanlike action that left even his fans stunned. The incident arose during the Chiefs’ 20-17 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles.
During the third quarter, Kelce got a pass from Patrick Mahomes on his own 35-yard line and dashed upfield. The tight end reached the Eagles’ 45-yard line, and he was more than delighted with his effort.
Kelce, 35, reacted with a very shocking and unusual celebration. He was then seen stretching out his arms towards the ground and began shaking his hands with his palms open. The NFL reportedly made the decision to sanction Kelce for the obscene taunt that they felt was unacceptable.
At the same time, Kelce has also received a $14,491 fine, which has been reported as his third fine since 2021. As per the NFL’s fines and appeals schedule, such conduct gives rise to a $14,491 fine in the first offense, while a $20,288 fine is given for the second offense.
