Madonna has sparked a debate and drawn criticism to her name after surprising her fans with heavily-edited photos of herself.

In the Instagram snaps featuring her ‘baby face’ appearance, the Vogue hitmaker looks like a lady in her 20s thanks to heavy makeup and numerous filters applied.

“Tryin to Make a Movie… It’s Really Hard!” Madonna captioned her post as she shared several snaps of herself in a hotel room. “Wouldn’t Have it Any Other Way!”

While some people were quick to dub the pop queen a “goddess” and suggest she “looks like a teenager,” others took a jab at her for trying so hard to battle her natural looks and appear younger than she is.

“I miss your actual face,” someone wrote.

“But please show us your real face. So much better than this one,” another said.

Madonna, who is known for sharing controversial – and often racy – photos on her social media, is currently working on her biopic. She recently also revealed that she had already started holding auditions for the film.

The singer’s age-defying photos come shortly after Madonna sparked a heated debate with graphic photos in which she’s seen lying on a bed clad in nothing but skimpy lingerie.

After the backlash, the singer hit back at her critics and called out people who slammed her for exposing her nipples in her photos.

“I’m reposting photographs Instagram took down without warning or notification… The reason they gave my management that does not handle my account was that a small portion of my nipple was exposed,” she wrote.

“It is still astounding to me that we live in a culture that allows every inch of a woman’s body to be shown except a nipple.”

She added: “As if that is the only part of a woman’s anatomy that could be sexualized. The nipple that nourishes the baby!”
