The woman who believes she may be the missing child Madeleine McCann sat down with Dr.
Phil for a tell-all interview after fleeing to the States in fear for her safety.
21-year-old Julia Wendell from Poland has made headlines internationally after claiming she might be Madeleine McCann, the then-three-year-old girl who went missing in Portugal while vacationing with her parents back in 2007.
For years, Julia has been sharing her thoughts about her resemblance to Maddie on social media. Recently, she also sparked fresh interest in the missing child case after revealing she is awaiting DNA test results to either confirm or rule out her claims.
Speaking to Dr. Phil, the young woman opened up about her first memories as a child which seemingly align with the circumstances surrounding Maddie’s disappearance from the Portuguese seaside resort.
“It was the beach and water, like sea or ocean, and there were turtles and children,” Julia said.
“I remembered light-colored buildings, like white or very light colors, sunlight on these buildings.”
Wendell went on to suggest that her alleged ab*ser Peter Ney may be linked to German serial killer and human trafficker Martin Ney.
“I believe that Peter Ney can be related to Martin Ney. Martin Ney was suspected in the Madeleine McCann case and Martin Ney is an international child trafficker, serial killer,” she added.
Speaking out was also Julia’s private investigator Dr. Fia Johansson who says she got involved because she thinks Madeleine is still alive.
“After I spoke to Julia, I knew I had to fly to Poland. It was back in 2018 and 19 that I got involved in the Madeleine McCann case. I was involved as psychic police. […] I believe she is alive,” the private investigator, who also works as an author and celebrity medium, said.
“I started to investigate Julia’s body, to figure out if she has [Madeleine’s] birthmarks. And for me, yes… she had.
“Julia’s mom refused to do the DNA test and she refused to answer any calls, texts, or communication. At this moment, I kinda know the truth. But until I get an answer, it’s hard to say 100% – but it’s also hard to deny it 100%.”
