French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, were reportedly seen filing a defamation case against American podcaster Candace Owens.
The case called her out for defamation and accused the French First Lady of being born as a man. The Macrons filed this 218-page case in Delaware and accused the right-wing podcaster of sharing the most defamatory and outlandish claims that were deemed as far-fetched fiction creations to get attention and fame at the cost of others.
The case further goes on to talk about how it led to a humiliating ordeal and one that would not be tolerated at any cost, also adding how it was relentless bullying of the worst kind.
The Owens attacked Ms Macron in a now deleted video that was shared through YouTube in March of 2024. It propagated the fake claims that she’s a biological male.
‘Owens tried to defame and harass and cause pain to us and our families and tried to garner attention and notoriety on this subject. We gave her all the opportunity in the world to back away from the claims but she has refused’- the statement alleged. The case seeks an unspecified amount of compensation as damage claims.
