Keith Urban swapped out a romantic song lyric about Nicole Kidman just days before the actress filed for divorce.
During a recent concert, the 57-year-old was performing on his 2017 hit tune, ‘The Fighter’, which featured singer Carrie Underwood, and it was said to be inspired by his then-wife Kidman. But Urban opted to change one of the lyrics of this song about his recently estranged wife to reference his 25-year-old guitar player, Maggie Baugh.
She happened to be on stage with him at the time. The original lyric is: “When they’re tryna get to you, baby, I’ll be the fighter.” But Urban instead chose to sing, ‘When they’re trying to get you, Maggi,e I’ll be your guitar player!’
25-year-old Baugh shared that clip through her account on Instagram on September 26, three days before the news of Urban and Kidman’s split took center stage and even mentioned in the caption, ‘Did he just say that!’- with some shocked emojis.
Back in the year 2016, Urban rolled out a video shot with his own camera that featured him and Kidman in the car singing to the tune, ‘The Fighter’. The news comes as many rumors are speculating that the country star is now involved with a younger woman.
