A lucky ticket holder from Maine matched all six numbers and won the Mega Millions jackpot.

The winning numbers drawn for $1.35 billion were: 30, 43, 45, 46, 61, and gold Mega Ball 14.

The website of Mega Millions announces that there has been a winner in Maine and states that the next grand prize will be $20 million and the cash option will be $10.7 million.

While Mega Millions did not release a statement about the lucky gambler, lottery winners in Maine cannot remain anonymous and must share their first name and the first letter of their surname.

The winner of the whopping $1.35 billion will receive annual payments over 29 years – about $46.5 million per year!

Most winners always choose the cash option, which for the most recent drawing was $724.6 million.

The jackpot is the second largest Mega Millions win and the fourth-largest in the U.S. history!

But scooping the jackpot does not always have a happy ending as one woman who won $1 million at the age of 17 opened up about her struggles in the wake of her win.

Jane Park told Dr. Phil: “I don’t regret any of the money that I’ve spent. My only regret would be going so public.”

She went on: “I have not even spent all of the money and they seem to think they know more about my life.

“It’s hard because when I was younger I read the comments and it affected me and these people have never met me and they’ve probably never even seen me.”

She admitted that she did splurge her winnings as she never knew the value of her money. “I had never seen that kind of money and I never knew anyone with that kind of money,” she said.

“I think there is, like it’s a very dark, twisted fairy tale and I think no one actually warns you of it – especially younger people. I was 17,” she added.
