Keaton, who died at the age of 79 on Saturday, was considered a great friend and the star’s love throughout his life. The on-again and off-again couple not only acted alongside one another, but a point did come where they almost got married.

A close friend of the star spoke to the Daily Mail and mentioned how Pacino will forever regret not staying with Keaton. For years after he and Diane split, AL used to say that if it’s meant to be, it’s never too late to get married. But sadly, it is now, as she’s no longer in this world.
