A 33-year-old widow is sharing her intense grief and how it has shattered her life after a mega 165mph tornado struck Iowa recently.
From losing her husband and two kids to her mom too, the widow revealed how her rock is her 8-year-old son whose bravery and courage during this difficult time are truly admirable.
The woman was identified as 33-year-old Kuri Bolger who hails from Blue Springs in Missouri. She revealed how she and her whole family happened to be visiting her mom and stepdad in Iowa but little did they know that the drastic weather would alter their lives forever.
A giant tornado hit the state on March 5 and it reportedly saw winds that went as high as 136mph. Moreover, it is said to have touched down at about 4:30 pm.
The mother says that her life will never be the same again without her loving mother and husband’s death whose name was Michael.
In the same way, she recalls how her beautiful daughter Kinlee was just 5 while her son Owen was only 2. They were all killed in the aftermath of the storm.
Now, she and her 8-year-old son named Brysen are trying to comprehend the magnitude of the situation as they grieve the sudden loss of their loved ones.
“One of my brothers also managed to survive and my stepdad too”- the grieving mother stated.
Kuri was seriously injured in the tornado too. She not only broke her pelvis and leg but she was also forced to stay in the hospital for nearly 10 days. During that painful period, she also underwent several surgeries too.
While the heartbroken and devastated mother says she is more than grateful to be alive and for all the memories that her loved ones have given her, life will never be the same again.
