The world was stunned after learning about the Duchess of York suffering from breast cancer. It happened to be an incidental finding that her doctors saw on her latest mammogram which was a part of her routine checkup. And that’s when doctors saw the cancer and opted to not delay her treatment.

Prayers and warm wishes were sent her way during the time of her surgery from royal fans situated all over the globe. They hoped and prayed she would be alright after hearing the devastating news.

The Duchess is believed to have undergone the punishing surgery that lasted a staggering amount of time. The mastectomy was more involved than what people assumed.

But whatever the case may be, she is said to be recovering well with Eugenie. She reportedly moved in with her to the Royal Lodge to help her cope with it.

The surgery was reportedly held at King Edward VII’s hospital that’s situated in London.

After the surgery, she was kept in the Intensive Care Unit for a period of four days at a private hospital. And that is where the duchess had been monitored around the clock for her situation is now outlined to be stable.

The Duchess’s spokesperson mentioned how she is very grateful for the love and support that came her way. Moreover, she even added how lucky she is to be alive and hopes the recovery process is as smooth as possible.
