Lizzo seemingly hit back at Kanye West after the rapper branded her curvy figure as “unhealthy” and suggested that it’s “demonic” to promote obesity.
In his interview with Tucker Carlson and Fox News, Ye spoke out about various sensitive topics, including abortion, while not failing to take a jab at several people including his ex, Kim Kardashian, and singer and rapper Lizzo.
Speaking to Carlson, Ye blasted the “liberal” media and woke fans for pressuring Lizzo about her alleged weight loss while promoting “unhealthy” obesity.
“Lizzo works with my trainer, a friend of mine… When Lizzo loses 10 pounds and announces it, the bots, that’s a term for… telemarketer callers… on Instagram, they attack her for losing weight,” the rapper said.
“The media wants to put out a perception that being overweight is the new goal, when it is actually unhealthy.”
He went on to say that obesity was “clinically unhealthy” and that people who promote it are “demonic.”
In a bizarre comparison, Ye also called the attacks on Lizzo’s weight loss the “genocide of the Black race.”
Ye’s controversial comments come as the singer faces backlash over his recent attacks on several celebrities and after he raised eyebrows across the States by wearing a White Lives Matter shirt.
Shortly after Ye’s comments, Lizzo spoke out about the negative attention she’s been receiving and blasted those who keep on meddling in her private business for no reason.
“I feel like everybody in America got my mother******* name in [their] mother******* mouth for no mother****** reason,” the 34-year-old singer said during her Toronto, Canada, performance on Friday.
While avoiding mentioning any specific names, she added: “I’m minding my fat, black, beautiful business.”
After receiving cheers and applause from the audience, Lizzo went on to joke that she would stay in Canada before asking: “Who can I marry for that dual citizenship?”
