Many were shocked to see her name placed in the Titans section, where you can also find many other heavyweights, including tennis legend Serena Williams, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, and even podcast superstar Joe Rogan.
The Gossip Girl star was provided with the honor, despite the fact that she has some serious legal battles taking place with Justin Baldoni, who is not only her co-star but also the director of the movie, ‘It Ends with Us’.
She got the glowing tribute inside the magazine from civil rights attorney Sherrilyn Ifill, who felt she deserved the status for her constant contributions to her NAACP Legal Defense Fund. Many slammed both the actress and the magazine for being tone deaf and including her name in the list.
Posts condemning the act on social media took center stage, and many agreed that it was about time that the magazine really thought carefully about who should or shouldn’t be on the list, depending on their life’s contributions.
