BREAKING: Lisa Loring, The Original Wednesday Addams Actress, Has Passed Away


American actress and writer Lisa Loring has passed away at the age of 64.

Loring, who added 16 acting credits in her career, is best known for portraying Wednesday Addams in the first on-screen adaptation of The Addams Family.

The sitcom ran for two seasons from 1964 to 1966 and featured 64 episodes. The child actress appeared in all of the episodes of the beloved TV show.

As Deadline reported, Loring died from a “massive stroke” at the age of 64.

Confirming the sad news was Lisa’s friend Laure Jacobson who in a Facebook post revealed that the actress was taken off life support on Saturday.

“It is with great sadness that I report the death of our friend, Lisa Loring. 4 Days ago she suffered a massive stroke brought on by smoking and high blood pressure,” Jacobson revealed in her tragic post.

“She had been on life support for 3 days. Yesterday, her family made the difficult decision to remove it and she passed last night.”

Lisa’s close friend continued: “She is embedded in the tapestry that is pop culture and in our hearts always as Wednesday Addams. Beautiful, kind, a loving mother, Lisa’s legacy in the world of entertainment is huge.

“And the legacy for her family and friends — a wealth of humor, affection and love will long play in our memories. RIP, Lisa. Damn, girl… you were a ton of fun.”

The character of Wednesday Addams recently made it back into the spotlight thanks to Netflix’s hit series ‘Wednesday’ which revolves around the young Addams Family member who is played by actress Jenna Ortega.
