Prince Andrew has shared that he would no longer be using the royal title of Duke of York after having a meeting with King Charles III today.
The meeting also featured other senior members of the royal family, and it comes amid more bombshell accusations about him and his close ties to disgraced p*dophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Other than that title, he also said farewell to other honors and titles that were under his possession and will only be retaining the title of prince, which he holds by birthright.
His shocking decision comes in the wake of more scrutiny following the release of certain excerpts from a memoir by one of the victims, Virginia Giuffre, who shared how the prince carried out gross s*xual misconduct against her when she was only 17.
Giuffre passed away early this year, and the book was still released after her death, making some more bombshell claims. Andrew managed to settle a lawsuit with her outside of court regarding her claims in 2022 without making any claims of wrongdoing, and he’s since then constantly denied her allegations.
The move is being seen as another major step in Andrew going further from the palace and royal duties. It stems from his 2019 withdrawal from public roles and loss of military and patronage titles in 2022.
