Meghan Markle is facing major backlash after she chose to share a video of herself relaxing inside a limousine near the Paris Tunnel, where Princess Diana got into her fatal car crash in 1997.
In this clip taken from Instagram Stories that was shared on Saturday, the Duchess of Sussex recorded her limo passing the bridges Pont Alexandre III and the Pont des Invalides from outside the window at night.
Markle then turned the camera on to show her putting her feet up and stretching them out inside the vehicle.
Markle’s limo was very close to the Pont d’Alma bridge, which is next to the Pont d’Alma tunnel, where Prince Harry’s mother got into the accident and later passed away from her injuries on August 31, 1997.
Markle, who is also in France for her first Paris Fashion Week, was slammed online by social media users after she shared the video.
One person shared on X how it was so disrespectful to do something like this while another called out the Duchess of Sussex for driving towards Princess Diana’s death scene as a message to Prince William that Meghan Markle is the devil. ‘Instead of avoiding those places that the late Princess went to, she went and recreated them, and how evil of her’- the person added.
