Tragic reports have confirmed the death of a 2-year-old child who was separated from his dad during the floods that took place in California.
At about 7:14 pm local time, the cops and fire department responded to reports about Brandon Padilla Aguilera, and his son Xavier who was separated.
The duo was trying hard to cross a flooded area of a road on Main Street when their vehicle was swept off the roadway by floodwaters.
‘Brandon was located on the island that was created by floodwaters’ as per a news release. He was rescued by Barstow Fire Department personnel and rushed to the hospital for examination but soon released. However, his son did not have the same luck.

Despite a long 20 hour search, Xavier was found dead on Friday September 19.
His remains were located at about 2:44 pm in the San Bernardino County Flood Control channel south of the Mojave River.

An image was shared by the cops that showed the hood of the vehicle that was carrying the dad and son, submerged in floodwaters after getting swept away.
Brandon was driving back home with his son after attending his grandmother’s funeral and that’s when they were swept away, his mother shared with ABC News.
