An employee from Qantas Airlines was seen being rushed to the hospital in critical condition after falling six meters from an aerobridge at Sydney Airport.
Emergency services were seen rushing to the airport at nearly 1 pm on Saturday following reports about the female worker in her 40s who had fallen on the tarmac.
Paramedics tried to revive her for her serious head and internal injuries before she was rushed to the nearby Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in the state of an induced coma.
The Qantas employee was said to have fallen six meters from the aerobridge. Witnesses shared the horror from the scene and how it was absolute chaos as airport staff rushed to secure the area while paramedics worked to ensure she was stable.
Travelers were warned that operations at the domestic terminal three could now experience delays as police investigate the incident.
The circumstances surrounding this fall would now be investigated by the Australian Federal Police, and the area is now cordoned off.
