A man in his 60s suffered a serious medical emergency at the resort’s 1500 loop Cottontail Curl area at about 7:30 am local time and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office reported zero signs of foul play, the incident is currently being treated as a possible natural or unattended death.
This is the second guest death reported at the broader Walt Disney World Resort property in a span of a week, the earlier one being a s*icide of a 31 year old female guest at a different resort hotel.
The campground’s loops are relatively remote within the resort grounds, meaning emergency response visibility and staff presence may be lower compared to typical hotel settings. The resort operator has yet to provide any kind of details regarding the investigation or any kind of updated data beyond acknowledging the matter.
A previous incident that took place a few days back had to do with another visitor taking her life at the resort.
Rumors did spread about how she might have been hit by a monorail but that did not come out to be true. Soon after that, the investigation shared how she passed away from several blunt impact injuries. This is right after the earlier statement came through in the press.
