Blake Lively has just scored a serious win in her ongoing legal battle with her ‘It Ends With Us’ co-star Justin Baldoni.
According to reports from local media outlets, the federal judge presiding over the case granted the star’s motion to strike her deposition transcript from the docket.
This past week, Lively was deposed at her attorney’s office which is situated in New York City. This is where Baldoni’s lawyers probed her on harassment claims she made about their client in this legal battle.
They similarly pressed her on her allegations that the director rolled out a smear campaign against the star.
Baldoni was present for that deposition. Lively’s lawyers continued to argue about the motion that attorneys for the star and his Wayfarer Studios Company, which produced the former co-stars’ 2024 film.
Judge Lewis agreed, ruling on Friday how it served no proper litigation purpose and instead seemed to have been intended to burder the star and invite public speculations as well as scandal. Liman went on to mention that the Wayfarer Parties have never even tried to argue about the whole deposition which was relevant nor could they.
