Actress Margot Robbie is not happy about her leaked Barbie images taking center stage online.
The actress mentioned during a recent appearance on the Late Night Show how it was the most humiliating moment for her because millions of people were watching and the movie had just begun filming.
She then wrote about how hundreds of people were watching her on the sets and then to be able to perform under that sort of pressure was intense and just shockingly awkward for her.
The Barbie lead star says she and fellow co-star Ryan Gosling were not just yet prepared for the images to go viral from the production set.
She then elaborated on how the duo may have appeared laughing and smiling on the outside but they were literally dying on the inside.
Host Jimmy Fallon asked the celeb if she had any idea if the pictures would be dissected online in the manner that they were but she said no and that is what made it so much harder for her.
She said there were just a few exterior shots and she did anticipate getting pictured by the paparazzi but this was a full-blown leak and all people were discussing is how she appeared and that was uncomfortable.
“The outfits were absolutely insane. They were crazy and I wanted to hide because it was a movie and not my daily life. But the way they were released was just awful”- she revealed, adding how mortified she was and wanted to run and hide.
She also said Ryan struggled in the role of Ken as this was not something he was prepared for either.
So as you can see, it’s not all fun and games in the Barbie world and the celeb are grateful to fans for the love but to the critics, they really wished it wasn’t the way it turned out to be, especially before the film’s trailer went on air.
The actress also says that the film is definitely not going to be what people expected as it’s full of surprises and twists that so many didn’t see coming. But she really hopes it gets the love and praises it deserves because the entire cast and crew have worked really hard.
