Officials have confirmed the death of two people while hundreds were left injured after a devastating chaos broke out in the form of riots in the French capital city of Paris last night.
The incident arose close to the Paris Saint-Germain’s residence stadium, where fans are believed to have gathered to watch their favorite club in the Champions League Final.
PSG fans were earlier seen celebrating their side’s opener against Inter Milan outside Parc des Princes. This is where a fan zone was set up for those who were not able to attend it in person in Munich.
Several reports showed rioting taking place, and nearly 200 were arrested at first, and those figures have now doubled, as per the police.
As per the reports, celebrations took place following the PSG’s victory that left two people dead last night. In that area of Dax, a 17-year-old boy reportedly passed away after being stabbed in the chest. The suspect is currently on the run.
In the 15th arrondissement of Paris, a 20-year-old female was seen riding a scooter, who also ended up losing her life after being rammed by a vehicle carrying those supporters.
This morning, the center of Paris appeared derelict after debris from flares and the riots, after the chaos started to die down.
