President Trump is now considering relinquishing the leadership of NATO.
The American head of state insisted that its EU allies take greater responsibility for the security of the region.
America has been in the leadership position since the founding of the defence alliance that’s related to the aftermath of World War II.
Since then, the Supreme Allied Commander Europe always remained a senior American general.
But in the country’s insistence that EU allies take up more responsibilities for the region’s security, it also expressed how the British and French needed to step up to the plate and take this position.
The news comes after the President stunned allies in the West when it rolled out a temporary pause in the supply of vital US military aid after a historic spat with Zelenskyy at the Oval Office that took place last week.
Trump issued a warning in this regard on Monday night where he said that he wouldn’t be putting up with any more disrespect from Ukraine as both sides soured comments back and forth.
America warned Ukraine that not accepting the peace deal with Russia would have deleterious consequences and the nation would find it hard to survive.
