Trump refiles $15B lawsuit against NY Times after judge tosses ‘improper’ first attempt


Former US President Trump has just refiled a mega $15 billion defamation lawsuit against the NYT.

This includes attacking publisher Penguin Random House and several journalists along the way as well, right after a previous dismissal by the federal judge.

The actual complaint was thrown out by the US District Judge Steven Merryday in September because it was violating the Federal Rule 8 which was 85 pages long and spoke about being filled with extra material and featuring two claims of defamation starting on pages 80 to 83.point 477 |

The latest complaint filed in the Florida Middle District Court shared how it was pared down to 40 pages and retains most of the orignial allegations. Trump shared how it damaged his reputation and business interests along the way and therefore he strongly feels he needs to be compensated for.

In reply to this, the NYT said it’s calling the case baseless and without any merit, adding how it was an attempt made by the American Head of State to put pressure on the press and intimidate them beyond measure.
