Cory Monteith’s mom has passed away just days before the 12th death anniversary of her Glee star son’s death.
Ann Marie McGregor passed away peacefully on June 18th following an unspecified sickness, as per her obituary. She was 74.
Ann enjoyed her time gardening, alongside her pursuits on her acreage in Shirley, BC, together with Cornelius, Harley, and her love birds.
Ann was said to be a person of great character, and she carried that throughout her life. She is now said to be survived by her son and Cory’s older brother, Shaun Monteith.
The devastating news comes just a month after her husband, Joe Monteith, passed away following a serious illness. He was 75 at the time of his death.
Joe and McGregor divorced in 1989, and he and Cory were estranged for most of the young actor’s life. The family shared the sad news online with a heartbreaking tribute. This includes how much they will now miss them both, as they were the most positive and loving people.
Cory died 12 years ago due to an alleged drug overdose. His mother shared at the time how her son’s untimely death had shattered their world.
