In case you’re wondering which turn we’re referring to, well, it’s Wham’s Last Christmas. And one couple appears to detest it to such an extent that they’re willing to buy song rights so they will never have to hear it again! Yikes, how’s that for a new kind of hate?

Tomas Mazetti and his wife Hannah say they’re splurging big time and are on a mission to get as many funds as it’s required to get rid of the track, once and for all.

So far, they’ve collected a staggering amount of money that is equivalent to the likes of $60,000. But that’s just the start. They have a long journey ahead of them because activities like these do not come cheap.

“We hope to banish the track, once and forever. We have really had enough, it’s not even funny anymore how much we hate that tune!”- they went on to reveal.

The couple spoke about how the hate goes back to 12 years ago. This is when Hannah used to work at a cafe where this song would be a regular on the playlist during the festive season. And since she had no control, she was forced to listen to it all day long.

Obviously, the couple can’t afford to pay the entire funds themselves. But their mission has inspired an online fundraiser and they couldn’t be more happier that there are others who are just as excited to rid the track, once and for all.
