Griner touched town in Texas after a controversial deal broke through between Russia and the US that entailed a prisoner swap with the Russian Merchant of Death arms dealer.

Griner was arrested in February due to these drug charges and her legal team was left with zero hope after two of her appeals were rejected by the Russian court of law.

But it was a miracle for the star when the White House agreed to swap Viktor Bout for her return, leaving many in the nation devastated at the way things were unfolding.

She also appeared to be in good health when she landed right before the break of dawn.

President Joe Biden and his wife Jill Biden could be seen smiling with Griner’s partner at the White House after the swap was finalized as the President referred to the ordeal as the end of months of hell for her and her wife.

This particular swap deal secured the release of the most prominent American detained abroad and also achieved the top goal for the country’s President.

But the Republicans feel that Biden and his administration are focusing more on the release of celebs instead of actual veterans that continue to be held in a Russian prison.
