The remains of Georgia teacher Gary Jones have been pulled from a tourist lake where he vanished while celebrating his 50th birthday with his fiancee.
Exactly one month later, his search came to a tragic end as his dead body was recently found.
The Westminster Schools teacher and coach was found deep in lake Oconee during the afternoon hours of Sunday.
Jones’ body was not far from where his bride-to-be instructor was found a day after the duo went missing from a fishing boat trip in February.
His remains were found thanks to the Wisconsin search and recovery expert Keith Cormican, who made use of underwater sonar tech to find the long missing teacher as per the media outlet.
They both disappeared while on the fishing boat celebrating Jones turning 50, as per officials. The boat was found empty and running in circles with a cookie with icing still onboard hours after they were last seen.
Wilson was found floating in the water the following day because she still had air inside her lungs when she died, medical experts shared. She was found clutching her cellphone.
