Lady Gaga delivered a powerful performance during Sunday’s 95th Academy Awards at Dolby Theatre.

The 36-year-old ‘Bad Romance’ hitmaker ditched makeup and embraced a down-to-earth look as she donned ripped jeans and a black T-shirt before taking to the stage for her rendition of Hold My Hand.

The Oscar-nominated song remains one of the viewers’ favorite soundtracks from the 2022 action film Top Gun: Maverick.

“It’s deeply personal for me and I think that we all need each other, we need a lot of love to walk through this life,” Gaga said before performing her version of the song.

“And we all need a hero sometimes, there’s heroes all around us. In unassuming places, but you might find that you can be your own hero, even if you feel broken inside.”

The emotional performance came moments after the pop star graced the Oscars red carpet in a sheer black Versace gown, dazzling scarlet lipstick, and a diamond choker complemented by rings, earrings, and a bracelet.

While the singer was initially set to miss the ceremony due to a conflict in her schedule, her attendance and the news of her scheduled performance were confirmed no earlier than on Sunday.

The singer previously spoke out after her song, Hold My Hand, got nominated for an Oscar by the Academy.

“Thank you so much to the Academy for nominating my song Hold My Hand for an Oscar this year!” she said at the time.

“Writing this song for the film Top Gun: Maverick was a deep and powerful experience that I will never forget. So grateful for the magic of music and cinema.”
