The controversy surrounding the entire FIFA women’s championship involving Spanish soccer boss Luis Rubiales is still going strong.
And to many people’s surprise, Woody Allen is stepping in to have his two cents on the matter, not to mention how he feels the boss did nothing wrong.
Allen spoke in detail and sided with Rubiales, defending his actions as nothing serious. According to the celeb, the president of the Royal Spanish Soccer Federation is facing major criticism across the board for kissing a young female star forcefully, without asking for consent.
And if that was not bad enough, he even lied in front of the world, adding how it was consensual and nothing was forced on anyone.
As expected, fury and outrage have stemmed from all over the globe as many condemn the actions while demanding that FIFA officials conduct a widespread and transparent investigation because the act was a serious offense.
But Woody Allen defended the boss and added how kissing her was not the same as assaulting her. As one can imagine, people are losing their minds as they feel the celeb has completely lost the plot.
The player Jenni Hermoso also protested against the incident and said she never gave him consent to kiss her, adding a brutal twist. And now, female players of the Spanish side and other nations are demanding the boss get suspended before they can resume play. And that leaves FIFA in a very stressful position.
Hermoso was seen stepping up to the plate to receive her medal when all of a sudden, she was met with a huge kiss on the lips by Rubiales at the final ceremony. She is clearly taken aback.
Now, Rubiales has called the star midfielder one of his daughters and claims his intentions were never wrong and these types of things are common in play while refusing to step down as he feels he ‘did nothing wrong’.
