HBO host Bill Maher shared his thoughts on the whole Jimmy Kimmel fiasco, calling his good friend wrong for making such remarks about Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
The star mentioned how it was so wrong for Kimmel to say something as bold as that in front of the world, addressing the comments linked to the killer being a MAGA Republican, but at the same time, he didn’t let the ABC network off the hook that easily.
Addressing his former workplace, he slammed them for thinking it was okay to remove someone for making remarks, even if they did not agree with them.
The liberal comedian shared his opinions on the ‘Real Time with Bill Maher’, where he revealed that Jimmy was so wrong and ABC was wrong to suspend the show over a matter like this. He then argued that the suspected sniper, Tyler Robinson, didn’t belong to either party, so it was not right to just assume things off the bat. ‘Still, Kimmel cannot and should not lose his job over this!’- he continued.
The star then went on to highlight how he himself was canceled from that same network for making some very controversial remarks regarding the 9/11 hijackers.
