Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian have reportedly split and decided to remain friends after less than a year of dating.
The Saturday Night Live host and the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star have parted ways over difficulties they encountered in the course of their 9-month relationship.
As DailyMail.com revealed, one source told the publication that long distance and taxing personal schedules contributed to the pair breaking up.
Another insider close to the 28-year-old TV personality also confirmed the break-up news.
It is believed, however, that Kim and Pete remain on good terms and will stay friends rather than hold any grudges against each other.
The split has been confirmed just a day after an insider told People magazine that the socialite found it hard to be away from her boyfriend while he was shooting his upcoming film Wizards! In Australia.
While Kim visited her beau for a 5-star getaway at an eco-lodge back in July, the trip to Australia seemingly wasn’t enough to mend the wounds in their relationship.
“They have a lot of love and respect for each other, but found that the long distance and their demanding schedules made it really difficult to maintain a relationship,” one source told E! News.
The surprising news comes months after Davidson got involved in an online clash with Kanye West, Kim’s ex-husband and the father of her four children, who sparked concerns with a music video showing Pete getting buried alive.
While the rapper initially refused to accept their relationship, it is believed he became more civil in recent months.
“Kim and Kanye have been coparenting very well as of late. They are very civil with each other right now, there are no issues. They are both treating each other with mutual respect,” an insider told Us Weekly.
