The former guitarist of the metal band Possessed was fatally shot in a standoff with police.
Brian Montana was killed by the cops in San Francisco, California, after getting involved in a standoff that arose after he brandished a gun at a neighbor, the police department confirmed.
The incident involved the police coming to the scene after reports about a massive disturbance in the neighborhood were made.

‘Over the next 25 minutes, the suspect, who had armed himself with three different types of firearms, fired at officers from different locations within the driveway while seeking cover and concealment using both vehicles in the driveway and landscaping.
Officers used police vehicles as cover from the barrage of gunfire and were able to return the fire.
In the end, the police claimed they had struck Montana with gunfire, and he was subsequently found unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
