Taylor Swift was spotted looking rather downcast on a stroll in NYC amid claims that her boyfriend Travis Kelce wasn’t ready to move their relationship to the next level.
The hot new celebrity couple recently faced a whirlwind of emotions and struggles including their first-ever major fight that left Taylor “hurt” and confused.
On Thursday, the Bad Blood hitmaker was spotted in the Big Apple while bundled up in a dark coat and a grey dress with a hoodie.
The 34-year-old Grammy winner appeared unusually downcast as she showed off her natural look without her signature lipstick.
The sighting comes after a source confirmed that Travis Kelce is in no rush to propose. And while the NFL tight end may think that engagement is currently still off the table, he is allegedly working on designing a very special ring for his girlfriend.
“He isn’t going to propose to her anytime soon, so no one should get those hopes up, but he has talked to family and friends about what he could do that would be special for an engagement ring,” an insider told DailyMail.com.
“Travis’ career is a major focus for the next several weeks. He has to get the job done. He wants another Super Bowl ring, but it is safe to say that there is room to think about Taylor. And when it comes to Taylor, he loves her and sees a future with her and has thought about what a ring for her would be like as well.”
Speaking of the details behind the ring’s design, the source continued: “He has thought of having a lyric or a quote engraved on the band that is special to both of them, and he has also floated using some of the diamonds from his Super Bowl rings on her band.
“He wants to make sure it isn’t something cheesy, but more unique and something that is a part of him that he shares with her to show that forever means forever.”
Previously, another source suggested Kelce would not be proposing at least until the summer.
“Over the holiday, all Travis wanted to do was focus on football. She had to take a backseat which was really tough. When it comes down to it, the game is still his No. 1 priority and that became crystal clear for Taylor,” the insider insisted.
“Things get heated between them at times over scheduling because they’re both so incredibly busy and they’re both so dedicated to their careers. As much as Taylor can be a fool for love, she never lets her work suffer.”
