Kim Kardashian is back with her unique marketing antics, but her company SKIMS’ latest marketing stunt leaves people stunned for more reasons than one.
Think along the lines of a giant 60 foot balloon that was shaped like Kim wearing a bikini lying in a horizontal direction in the middle of New York City’s Times Square.
Clearly, the mega installation is celebrating her latest swimwear collection, but the bizarre blown up doll was called out as a desperate move in terms of getting more people excited for the launch.
The installation features a doll version of Kim wearing a cheeky triangle top with bottoms that are nearly identical to the ones worn by her mom of four in a recent photoshoot.
The doll’s arms are placed over the head, and the doll lies on a giant blue colored platform that features the brand’s SKIMS logo.
Many felt it was too ‘larger than life’ not to mention creepy. Others felt terrified at the look and needed to run for their lives, another joked.
Kim was quick to share the launch on her Instagram story, acting like it came out of the blue and she had no clue.
