Blake Lively’s high-profile sexual harassment trial against co-actor and director Justin Baldoni is facing another setback after being pushed back two months.
The news was confirmed after a federal judge in New York made the bombshell ruling today. The famous trial regarding alleged misconduct on the sets of the film It Ends with Us would soon begin filming on May 18 instead of March 9. This is right after the judge cited a packed court order that mentioned two criminal trials already scheduled for March of next year.
The judge did reveal that, as important as this case might appear to be, criminal trials would take precedence. In another twist, Judge Liman stated how both sides to the magistrate judge for settlement talks, even though both sides have indicated they would go for a trial.
Lively was the first to sue Baldoni and even claimed that she had to face sexual harassment while filming on the set of the movie. She’s not demanding a staggering $16 million for personal and financial losses due to the alleged retaliation and smear campaign rolled out against her.
