While speaking for a recent interview, we saw the director mention how the character was literally based on one insane man and that’s when she boldly revealed that it had to do with Jordan Peterson. Clearly, not many saw that one coming, Peterson too.

But that’s not all. The real controversy began when a special reference had been made to white men that feel they have every right or authority in the world to have s*x from women. “These men believe society has robbed them- the idea of feminism is working against nature, and we must be put back into place”- she continued.

As you can probably imagine, that did not go down too well with Peterson. Not only did he not like the comments, he felt they were very unkind. But he did feel a little flattered to see the casting of actor Chris Pine.

He also indirectly called many people in the industry bullies and bores that are dominating Hollywood and hoped Pine would do justice to the role.
