For the occasion, the actor donned a pair of slippers, army green shorts, and a grey surfing T-shirt with sunglasses hanging off its neckline.

Jonah’s pregnant girlfriend Olivia Millar, who is expecting their first child, was not present during his trip to the surfboard shop.

Besides his drastic weight loss over the last year, Jonah has been spotted surfing in the area multiple times during the last few years despite being terrified of the sport his entire life.

“Been terrified to surf my whole life. Totally random fear and at the same time always been a secret dream of mine,” he previously admitted in one of his posts.

“Turned out to be one of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had.”

Jonah’s weight loss comes after the actor repeatedly opened up about the pain he had suffered as a result of being bullied for his weight and called “fat and gross” for years of his life.

“I don’t think I ever took my shirt off in a pool until I was in my mid-30s even in front of family and friends. Probably would have happened sooner if my childhood insecurities weren’t exacerbated by years of public mockery about my body by press and interviewers,” the Superbad star wrote in a candid post back in 2021.

“So the idea that the media tries to play me by stalking me while surfing and printing photos like this and it can’t phase [sic] me anymore is dope. I’m 37 and finally love and accept myself.

“This isn’t a ‘good for me’ post. And it’s definitely not a ‘feel bad for me post.’ It’s for the kids who don’t take their shirt off at the pool. Have fun. You’re wonderful and awesome and perfect. All my love.”
