The CEO of American Airlines just shared a new video statement through the website about how it was the fault of the military helicopter that chose to ignore warnings from the control tower.
Haunting audio shared with media outlets has the control tower warning and instructing the pilot of the jet in front of them. They similarly ordered them to come from behind the plane.
Shortly afterward, there was a brief silence of a few minutes and then the horror explosion occurred, clearly signaling that the catastrophe could not be avoided.
The video statement shared by CEO Robert Isom has him expressing grief on this difficult day and sending out condolences to all the victims and their families during the period of morning.
The company vowed to be with the families during this difficult time and provide all the information necessary to help figure out what exactly went wrong. “This could have been avoided, it should have never happened”- the CEO nodded his head in the emotional statement.
He confirmed that a lot of people want answers right now but he does not have too many as investigations continue to arise as we speak. ‘I won’t be able to answer a lot about why it happened but we all know that it could have been avoided’- he concluded.
