Actor Will Smith has finally issued an apology to Chris Rock over the infamous slap at the Oscars event.
According to local media outlets, the celeb was seen mentioning how his behavior was unacceptable and he felt ashamed for the wrongdoing and that’s why he’s apologizing.
The public apology came in the form of a video that was posted on the social media platform Instagram on Friday, where Will Smith condemned his own behavior, calling it the wrong move.
He also spoke about his ‘former’ friend not being ready to forgive him but he claims to be there whenever he wishes to talk about the incident.
Smith was also seen sending out an apology to his own wife Jada Pinkett Smith and his whole family, whom he feels had to suffer plenty of heat, thanks to his violent behavior on the Oscars stage.
He also made a special mention related to how he never wished to see so many people disappointed in him, which he called a moment of central trauma for himself. Will Smith similarly said he is beyond heartbroken at the way things went down on that night.
The famous Men In Black then turned to his fans and asked for their forgiveness as he never wished to see them so disappointed in them.
Without a doubt, the highlight moment of this year’s Oscars Ceremony was definitely Will Smith storming on stage and slapping the comedian for making jokes about his wife’s bald head.
All Chris Rock had done was a joke about Jada being G.I. Jane since she had shaved her head. But that really triggered Smith into carrying out the violent action which came in the form a slap.
At that time, it is believed the actor’s wife was suffering from a condition called alopecia.
