A shocking new report has gone on to reveal how more than 100,000 ghost children are currently at risk of abuse in the United Kingdom after they failed to return back to school after the COVID lockdown.
Robert Halfon who is the chairman of the House of Commons education committee was quick to speak about how the term ghost children were reserved for all those young kids who were lost in the country’s system as they never got back to school, post lockdown.
Moreover, he even issued a warning about how these young individuals could potentially be subjected to cruelty at home.
The senior MP also confirmed how the country’s Education Secretary revealed that there would be a foolproof investigation into the case after the country suffered a major setback of failings after Arthur Labinjo Hughes’s case.
Emma Tustin, who was the boy’s stepmother was reportedly jailed a few days back for murdering the innocent child while the father was slapped with manslaughter charges and encouraging his own son’s killing by another individual.
It was also reportedly revealed in the courtroom how young Arthur was visited by a few social workers after complaints of child abuse were lodged by other members of the family and neighbors. But the workers failed to note any significant findings, such as the countless wounds he suffered from.
The child passed away tragically from unsurvivable brain damage with more than 130 bruises covering his body.
In addition to that, they even lost all significant notes pertaining to the case, right before closing his file after clearance.
For this reason, the country is now exercising extreme precaution against those who are yet to return back to school for a long time and hence are feared to be involved in domestic abuse, safeguarding hazards, and county lines gangs as well.
