A mother has left the internet divided after choosing to pierce her daughter’s ears just one day after her birth.
The mother revealed through a recently posted TikTok video that she was super excited about this moment and had waited for it for so long too.
She published the event in the form of a time-lapse video of her little daughter and now, people are generating plenty of criticism on the ordeal.
The post was published through her account called laraticaofficial and that’s where the little newborn was seen lying on one side of the hospital bed, just one day old.
And then all of a sudden, footage showed the child having her ears pierced and that really left people in absolute bewilderment.
The next post featured the child at four months old and that was a sudden change in the form of a time-lapse.
“The time just went too fast and I really do miss you being this small”- the video was captioned by the mother.
While it might have been a then-and-now video for the mother, it certainly was a lot more for others. They couldn’t help but imagine how a newborn girl would feel to have her ears pierced.
Therefore, a major debate began on the social media platform and whether or not it was right for the mother to do something like this.
One day, little baby Lara was seen donning beautiful ear studs. And then at four months, her stunning ear studs were gone, and instead, she donned beautiful silver-toned loops on her ears.
Interestingly, this video managed to get nearly 1 million views in no time and there were similarly thousands of comments across the board as well.
Some felt it was wrong as the child should be the one deciding if she wanted them in the first place, at a later stage in life. However, there were also some that had done the same and hence supported the mother in her endeavor.
