Congresswoman Ilhan Omar was seen blasting the idea and views that the US is a white nation that needs to be preserved.
The Rep argued that such ideologies are baseless and untrue, and anyone who holds such a belief really needs a reality check.
The news comes as she was seen doubling down on the late political activist Charlie Kirk, whom she says had no legacy to honor during an appearance on the former CNN anchor Don Lemon’s YouTube show this week.
‘I have nothing to apologize for’- Omar mentioned when she was asked about the backlash she got shortly after Kirk’s assassination.
‘You know, it’s such a huge tragedy that Charlie Kirk was killed in that manner. I feel so bad for his widow and his kids’- she mentioned. She said that no children deserve to grow up without a father for the rest of their lives. But at the same time, she slammed the thought of honoring a legacy that is filled with hatred, bigotry, and so much white supremacy.
Omar added how Kirk’s crazy people supporters, including President Trump, could do whatever they want to do, but she would just refuse to be bullied into that complacency, that dishonors who she is as a person and what she stands for. This is just to make them feel comfortable.
